Consideration of the Virgin Birth seems somehow beside-the-point in these "whatever" times; like the seemingly quaint, irrelevant debates of old-time fundamentalists of 100 years ago or present-day theological nerds. However, we should not dismiss this historic, foundational truth too quickly. Like most hotly debated biblical issues through history, it has relevance for our lives, even today.
