The "Prosperity Gospel" is a scourge in contemporary America; sadly it's also been exported to the Third World, disgracing the name of our good God. However, how do we understand the promises in the Word that tell us that God blesses His own, honors obedience, and rewards those who serve Him? Simply put, are the 2,400-year-old promises to Joshua also promises to us? Let's reason together (Isaiah 1:18) and remeber Jesus' warning: be careful how we listen (Luke 8:18).
