Where's This All Headed?

The most minor of the Minor Prophets serves as a "case study" of the Big Story itself.  God's judgment upon Edom, a cousin nation of the Israelites, demonstrates how He worked in times past and what He promises to accomplish in the future.  And, as we've seen since Genesis 1, there's a role for you and me, as followers of Jesus.

What Kind of Love is This?

In the Old Testament times, God often used vivid object lessons and real-life parables to communicate truths to His people, Israel.  Sometimes, these were painful for the prophet himself.  Hosea's experiences, designed by God to display His own faithful, loyal love, had to be personally excruciating.  He suffered much; shouldn't we learn at least some?

Some assert that God's glory is the overriding theme of the Big Story. It's certainly a primary issue that surfaces at Creation and carries through Redemption into Restoration.
